Fillings

All our fillings are done using tooth colored composite filling material that can be matched to your natural tooth color.

Sealants

Avoid molar decay in childhood and early adulthood by getting sealants in permanent molars. They are placed in 6-year and 12-year molars to fill in grooves that are hard to reach with a toothbrush. This can help prevent decay for children and teenagers during the years that their teeth and mouths are changing and will not interfere with other dental treatments.

Crowns and Veneers

Crowns are used to protect teeth that have been damaged or have very large fillings. Most teeth that have had root canals need to be covered by crowns for support. To prepare a tooth for a crown it is reduced by 1-2mm on all sides. Crowns are made of either gold, porcelain fused to precious metal, or all porcelain. This procedure requires two visits but will provide years of chewing power. Porcelain veneers are usually placed on 1,2 or all front teeth to enhance your smile. They can be used to change the color of your teeth, the shape or size of your teeth, or to close spaces between teeth. For veneers your teeth are not reduced as much as for crowns. Veneers also require two visits and can change the way you smile.

Implants

Many missing teeth can now be replaced with implants. We work together with a surgeon (oral surgeon or periodontist) to have implant screws placed in the bone. After healing and bone integration, we restore the implants. Implants can be used to replace one tooth, or to support bridges or full dentures.

Whitening

Get the dazzling smile you've always wanted with Day White®, a take-home whitening product using trays that you wear 15 minutes twice a day for 14 days. These trays are specially fitted to a mold of your teeth and can be used over & over again. We also offer Zoom QuickPro®, an in-office whitening one hour treatment to lighten your teeth. You will leave with a whitening pen to use at home as needed. For highly sensitive teeth we will prescribe fluoride treatments to use before and after whitening.

Cleanings and Periodontal Evaluations

Our office recommend twice yearly cleanings for patients without active periodontal disease. During our cleaning appointments we also screen for oral cancer, and we will plan future dental treatment if needed. For patients with gingivitis or early periodontal disease we will do more in depth cleanings with anesthesia. For more severe cases of periodontal disease, we often work with a periodontist to complete treatment. We recommend yearly digital x-rays to check for cavities. We take digital radiographs to minimize patient exposure. For children we administer flouride treatments during their cleaning appointments.
